E-Permit to Work systems

Management of any organization prioritises the health and safety of all employees and other persons who may be affected directly or indirectly by their activities and the protection of its assets is ensured.

Different activities require different procedures and authorisations, to be observed and applied by the related personnel. The individual risks are identified by conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) on task. The task could then be classified as Hot Work, Cold work, Confined Space entry etc.

The Permit to Work (PTW) System is a major regime implemented to meet these requirements by providing set rules, routines and constraints for controlling workplace hazards, protecting facilities, manpower, and the environment.

Paper-based manual systems are still being used in many industries worldwide, however, E-PTW systems replace conventional paper-based systems. Verification occurs at various levels, when the permit is carried from one place to another manually and messages are passed from one point to another in a rigid system without alternatives.

In an e-PTW system permits are visible to every authorisation gate in the loop, allowing faster work-flows, multi-level safety, real-time monitoring, reliable isolations, accurate control and integration with ERPs.
